Meeting Opened: 10:15am

President's Report

Wayne Hulbert expressed his thanks for running things while he was recuperating and had nothing extra to report.

Secretary's Report

Two pieces of correspondence from Central Coast Leagues Club.

One regarding a situation involving Linda Robinson and the CCLC committee and CCLC asked that our club (CCSS) not get involved. Our President has already addressed this situation and responded that it was an internal CCLC issue.

The second was a letter from CCLC committee stating that in 2026, all players/teams lists be submitted by their committee and not from individuals. Also that next season, games at CCLC will commence at 12.00 noon not 11.30am.

President said he will welcome comments on these letters in General Business.

Treasurer's Report

Geoff hoped that all clubs enjoyed not having to pay fees for the last two rounds. Our current balance is $12673.58. Geoff has allocated @$6000 for the Presentation Dinner and has paid all incidental expenses. Diggers haven't increased their luncheon quote so we will have enough to increase lucky door prizes to 40 x $50 (up from 20 last year). Treasurer was happy with the current financial situation. President Wayne thanked Geoff for his efficient and excellent work this year.

Recorder's Report

Ross read the winners of the 'end of year' competitions as follows.

Above scratch: Fred Young defeated Linda Robinson

Below Scratch: Phil Littlejohn defeated Len Wicks

Doubles: Vic Bowden & Rob Tapara defeated Phil Gunns & Rod Wetzler

Champion of Champions: Franko Mastroianni defeated Rob Slater

The Wayne Cameron Shield Winter Comp is now in Semi-final stage with Mingara v Gos 1 at Mingara and Gos 2 v Wyong 1 at Gosford. Congrats to all those teams.

Games Co-ordinator Report

Paul confirmed the menu for the Presentation Luncheon as:

Entrée: Prawns or Chicken Tenders, Main: Steak or Chicken, Dessert: Sticky Date or Cheesecake.

All agreed.

General Business

Ross Wyard asked captains to clearly mark 'loan' players on the sheet so assist web scoring.

Linda Robinson asked why we haven't included CCLC in finals play. We said we used to and want to and would canvas the idea for next year.

The AGM date will be Wednesday 3rd December. It will be posted on the web site.

President raised the matter of fees. All agreed that we keep fees as per this year.

First discussion was about the Thursday comp and will it continue. President said it would depend on team participation. Asked around the room. Wyong 1 team possibly 2, Gosford probably 2,

Davo Nil, no-one interested, CCLC will try but they already have a Thursday comp, Diggers 1 probably 2 depending on format, Mingara will have 1.

Format Questions: Do we wish to continue with a Thursday Summer and Winter comp or one longer one. - Starting Mid Jan and Mid July - Do we keep doubles

All agreed that we continue the Wayne Cameron Shield format as per this year.

Russell Johnson raised an idea that if we have surplus funds, we could sponsor players entering 'state-wide seniors comps. Agreed it was a good idea and matter to be discussed at the AGM.

It was also raised that we apply for a '@$5000 state grant' for the club and it should include Russells' suggestion and also include our NDIS, aged care or 'disabled' members to support the application. Linda Robinson knows someone who could prepare the 'difficult' application and would enquire.

Brian Sorrenson asked could we assist players with dementia (or similar handicap) with a referee (if possible) or his opponent be advised of the handicap and should give support. All agreed.

Wayne Cotter thanked all who arranged and conducted our season and finals mentioning Alan Fletcher and other referees for their contributions. The season and finals were run very well and we had no complications.

No further business.

President closed the meeting at 10.55am

Next committee meeting is AGM - 10.00am Wednesday 3rd December 2025 at Wyong

PS: Committee Members lunch at Wyong RSL will be after the AGM
